ZiptieJoin the beta

Privacy

Ziptie exists to keep your real number private. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

When you request beta access we collect the details you type into the form: your name, email, and optionally your phone number, city, intended uses and notes. We use these only to select and contact beta testers.

When you use the Ziptie app we hold your account details, your Ziptie number, and the messages and call records that arrive on it, so we can show them to you in the app.

What we never do

We do not sell your data. We do not share your real number with the services you sign up to — that is the whole point. We do not read your messages for advertising.

Your real number

Your real phone number is used to verify your account and, if you switch forwarding on for a service, to route that service's calls to you. It is never entered into any third-party form by Ziptie.

Retention and deletion

Messages stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Closing your account deletes your messages and retires your number. Beta interest submissions are deleted once the beta ends.

Third parties

We use telecom carriers to provision numbers and deliver messages, a hosting provider to run the service, and an email provider to send you mail. Each receives only what it needs to do that job.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect.
